One year on. What we learned in the pandemic
Updated: Mar 24
Reflections and predictions from the front line of communication, content and culture
A year ago today, Prime Minster Boris Johnston announced the UK’s first lockdown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past year, we've changed how we live, shop, work, entertain and educate ourselves and our children. We’ve been stuck at home. We’ve worked from home or not worked at all and for many there has been the deep sadness of losing family or friends and not being able to see the people we love.
The impact on how we communicate, the tools we use to collaborate and where and how we find content has been huge. And even as we return to a more recognisable rhythm of life and work as the UK slowly reopens, many of the changes we’ve made in the past year will remain.
To mark the anniversary of the UK’s first lockdown, JW Squared asked five communications and marketing leaders across some of the most affected sectors to tell us about how COVID-19 impacted how they worked and the legacy that it will leave on how they work in the future.
